The Void Rains Upon Her Heart has been in Early Access since February 14, 2018, and remains under active, continuous development. The developer has shipped over 100 numbered major updates, maintaining a near-monthly cadence throughout 2025 and into 2026 with no significant gaps. Recent major updates include the Shamble Tower boss (June 27, 2026), the Guardian Tower boss (July 26, 2026), and as of today, September 24, 2026, the developer posted a patch (v8.37f) confirming they just returned from PAX West and are actively working on the next tower boss. In that same post, the developer notes that family matters may push the Glyph tower boss back to October 2026, but explicitly states they expect to "get back on a regular schedule again" afterward. The July 26, 2026 update post outlines the remaining Version 8 roadmap: final bosses for 4 remaining family towers, an Endless Towers mode, more stage events, a standalone minigame mode, and additional story scenes. The game is clearly in its final development arc but has meaningful, explicitly named content still ahead before any 1.0 release.

About this game
An alien girl is trapped in a cave and surrounded by bizarre monsters. She cannot fight those creatures, but she can befriend them with the power of love! Every monster will react in its own violent way, but even the most powerful can be swayed by this ultimate power. Every defeated monster will give her gifts that make her love even stronger. Can her love grow strong enough to fend off The Void itself? Or will her heart be broken once again?
Each boss has its own range of difficulty levels with different possible attacks at each level. A level 1 boss can have a completely different set of attack patterns than a level 9 version of the same boss!
You may not have full control over the gifts you receive, but there are ways to influence the odds in your favor.

There are only boss battles in this game. Each stage will present you with a random set of bosses at various difficulty levels. You must choose which battles to face along the way to the Final Boss!Each boss has its own range of difficulty levels with different possible attacks at each level.
