Black Paradox originally launched out of Early Access on May 2, 2019, and received no major post-launch content updates for several years. On June 17, 2024, Fantastico Studio announced an ambitious "Black Paradox Reloaded" overhaul, promising two new game modes (Arcade and Boss Rush), local co-op, and a planned October 2024 Steam release. The final delivered update — the "Reloaded Update," which went live on June 3, 2026 — was a significant free overhaul of the game, including fully redesigned visuals, rebalanced difficulty, and a new Endless Mode. Notably, the features promised in the June 2024 announcement (Arcade mode, Boss Rush, and local co-op) are not mentioned in the Reloaded Update's release notes or the updated store description.
