Touhou Monster TD launched on October 1, 2021 and received a steady stream of post-launch content through mid-2022. The developer shipped three paid character DLCs — Dr. Cirno (November 11, 2021), Nagae Iku (January 14, 2022), and Fujiwara no Mokou (July 30, 2022) — alongside two major free content updates: the Celestial Trial roguelike mode (January 14, 2022) and the Test of Courage endless mode (July 30, 2022). Several feature patches and balance updates followed through September–October 2022, with the last developer communication on record being the October 1, 2022 patch.
All three DLC entries listed on the store are marked as released. No unreleased DLC exists. The developer's early post-launch roadmap from October 5, 2021 outlined plans for new characters, extra chapters, Steam Workshop support, and additional DLC — but those plans were plausibly fulfilled by the three DLCs and major updates that shipped through July 2022. There have been no further developer announcements, content roadmaps, or update posts after October 2022, and no new content has been teased or promised since.
The historical update cadence ran roughly every one to six months between major content drops, with the last major content arriving on July 30, 2022. No developer communication has occurred since October 1, 2022 — nearly four years before today's date of June 23, 2026. This silence, combined with all announced DLC having shipped and no outstanding commitments visible, points to the game having reached the end of its content cycle. The game appears to have launched as a complete package that received a defined post-launch content run, now concluded.
