Touhou ~Red Empress Devil. launched into Early Access and received four waves of additional characters during that period (June 2024, October 2024, November 2024, and January 2025). The game then had its full 1.0 release on March 6, 2025, accompanied by a fifth and final wave of five new characters. Crucially, the developer explicitly stated in the full release announcement: "This update will be the last to add new characters." No further content has been announced, no unreleased DLC exists on the store, and the developer has not posted any updates since the launch day. The game shipped as a complete product at 1.0 release, with the developer having clearly communicated that character additions — the primary form of post-launch content — are finished.
