Touhou Rinrinki ~ Crafts of the Lucky Beast entered Early Access on January 15, 2026 and remains under very active development. The developer — a solo developer by their own account — has maintained a remarkably consistent update cadence, shipping 10 major content drops, 8 feature patches, and 15 bug fixes across 37 posts since before launch. The most recent update arrived on August 15, 2026, adding Steam Workshop support for community mods. In that same post, the developer outlined the near-term development roadmap: the next priority is the third and final stage of Tournament Mode, after which they plan to add Achievements and expanded mod support, then move on to "more contents." This directly follows the second Tournament stage that shipped on July 26, 2026, which added 12 new opponents, a new map with special events, and new items. The store description explicitly calls out Arena Mode, Tournament Mode, Puzzle Mode, and Challenge Mode as features "waiting in future updates," and the store page includes a development roadmap image. As of the August 15, 2026 post, Arena Mode and Challenge Mode have not yet shipped. A May 30, 2026 developer post stated the game "could never be considered complete" without the Tournament, and a May 24, 2026 announcement framed completion of the Tournament framework as "a crucial step as we move from Early Access to the full release."
