Tower Tactics: Liberation

Tower Tactics: Liberation launched on February 6, 2023 and received two paid expansions: Celestial Dawn (May 1, 2023) and Astral Siege (July 25, 2024). Both are fully released with no unreleased DLC remaining in the store listing. The developer has continued to issue balance patches and bug fixes after the Astral Siege release, with the most recent patch (v1.18.5) on February 9, 2026 — but these are minor maintenance updates (translation fixes, balance tweaks), not major content additions. The clearest signal about the future direction of the franchise comes from the developer's own announcements: on May 22, 2025, the developer officially announced Tower Tactics 2 as a separate game targeting a 2026 release, and on September 28, 2025 released a playable demo for it. The developer's creative energy has clearly shifted to the sequel. The May 2025 announcement post also mentioned "soon I'll release a small update for Tower Tactics: Liberation," which aligns with the minor patches that followed — no new major content was promised for the original game. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no roadmap for future Liberation content, and no developer statement indicating additional expansions are planned for this title. The two-expansion release pattern (roughly 14 months apart) has not continued beyond Astral Siege, and it has now been nearly 23 months since that last major content release with no indication of a third expansion. The developer's focus on Tower Tactics 2 reinforces that Liberation's content development has concluded. The game appears to be a complete, finished product as of the Astral Siege release on July 25, 2024.
