Trashed entered Steam Early Access on February 17, 2021. During 2021, the developer was quite active: five major content updates shipped between February and September 2021, including a full FPS mode overhaul (May 22, 2021), a professions system (July 19, 2021), and a New Horizons mission set (August 19, 2021). The developer also regularly previewed upcoming content in announcement posts before shipping it.
On September 18, 2021, the developer announced "The Robots Update," detailing new NPC side quests and purchasable robot units. The last recorded communication from the developer was a hotfix post on September 23, 2021. There is no record of The Robots Update ever shipping, and no developer posts of any kind have appeared after September 23, 2021.
The game remains in Early Access with no 1.0 release announced. The developer has been completely silent since September 23, 2021 — a gap of nearly five years as of June 2026. The promised Robots Update appears to be undelivered, and there is no indication of whether development is continuing, paused, or abandoned.

About this game
The foreman has had enough. He’s taken a lot of crap from
the boss over at Mega Dump Corp. Now it is your turn
to turn a ruined outfit into a thriving business and
restore the health of the planet! As you grow your operation bigger,
you will take on challenges on other planets. Beware though,
a dark secret lurks on the planet’s surface.
Trashed is a garbage management action adventure.
You can build structures for waste management from a
3rd person (Top Down) perspective and then protect them with various
weapons that you can find or buy on the planet.
Use vehicles to traverse the surface of each planet faster, or to
help you push trash into incinerators or recyclers.
Take care of the planet, and you will see it return to its original glory.
Follow an interesting storyline that evolves as take on new missions
and contracts.
