Travellers Rest has been in Early Access since July 28, 2020 and remains in active, ongoing development by Isolated Games. The developer has shipped a steady stream of major content updates throughout this period. Looking at just the most recent stretch: The Pledge Banquet launched on September 11, 2025, The Three Trials on December 11, 2025, Ore Galore on April 9, 2026, and Rum and Runes on August 6, 2026 — a pace of roughly one major update every 2–4 months. The August 6, 2026 update post explicitly acknowledges content that was delayed and remains on the roadmap: the final three floors of the mine (levels 7–9) with a Volcano biome, a rework of the Swamp biome for floors 4–6, and a new Arcane customer aesthetic. That same post confirms the next update will deliver the next chapter of the main story. Follow-up patches on August 11 and August 14, 2026 show the developer actively polishing the most recent release. Earlier posts reinforce how much remains planned: the April 9, 2026 update described additional mine tiers and higher-level crafters still to come, and the September 11, 2025 update noted the team had hired additional developers to accelerate the pace of updates. The developer has been consistently transparent about the game's ongoing development arc, with no indication of an approaching 1.0 release or wind-down of content work.
