RPG Tycoon launched on February 12, 2016 and received its two major content expansions — the Supply & Demand DLC on November 18, 2016, and the free Festive Fun Pack on December 19, 2016 — both within the game's first year. After that, the developer (Matt at Skatanic Studios) posted a January 2, 2017 update (NEWS-4) indicating that focus going forward would be on "fixing remaining bugs, current features and improving usability" rather than new content. An earlier November 2016 post (NEWS-9) mentioned hopes for a 1.5 update "for the Winter" with new items, but no such update ever materialized in the news record. The only developer communication after 2017 is a stability patch on July 7, 2024 (NEWS-1, version 1.4.10), which addressed crashes, save-game bugs, and Mac compatibility — purely maintenance work with no mention of new content plans. All three DLC entries are released and no unreleased DLC appears in the store listing. There is no roadmap, no announced future content, and no developer statement suggesting additional content is planned. The game's sustained post-launch activity ended in late 2016/early 2017, and the 2024 patch was a maintenance-only fix after years of silence. The game is complete as a finished product.
