Towns
Released Nov 2012
The game brings a fresh new take on the city building/management genre by introducing many RPG features. In Towns you manage a settlement on top of an active dungeon. Instead of playing the hero who delves deep into the dungeon, how about playing the town that houses and caters to the hero's needs?

Evaluation
The developer, Xavi Canal, posted an official statement on April 19, 2026 confirming that development on Towns stopped back in 2014 due to burnout and personal struggles — and has not resumed since. As a formal acknowledgment of this, the full source code has been released publicly on GitHub, the game's price has been reduced to approximately $5, and the community has been invited to build upon or continue the project independently. This is a clear and unambiguous statement that official development is over. The game shipped in 2012 and received updates through 2014, at which point work ceased. No future content from the developer is planned.
Evidence
Developer Xavi Canal confirms development stopped in 2014 due to burnout, releases the full source code publicly, and lowers the game's price — explicitly framing this as a handoff to the community rather than a continuation of official development.
