Truck Life launched into Early Access and graduated to its 1.0 full release on August 6, 2020. In the pre-1.0 announcement (July 30, 2020), the developer outlined their plans: deliver Guangdong Province, new vehicles, and an online mode at launch, then continue expanding the map across China. Following the 1.0 launch, the developer did continue delivering updates — a new driving system in October 2020, a Hainan Island DLC in November 2020, and a series of map expansions and feature patches through early 2021. Four DLC packs were released, all of which have shipped. The last developer communication on record is a bug fix and optimization patch from March 18, 2021. Since that date, there have been no further news posts, announcements, patches, or developer communications of any kind — over five years of silence. While the developer once stated their "plan of travelling around China will never stop," that aspiration was not backed by any concrete roadmap or announced content that remained undelivered. The four major content drops occurred between August and November 2020, with the update cadence tapering off into maintenance patches through early 2021 and then going completely quiet. Given the extended silence since March 18, 2021 with no outstanding announced commitments, the game appears to have concluded its active development lifecycle.
