Turmoil

Turmoil launched in June 2016 and has received a steady stream of updates and expansions over the years. Three major content releases define its post-launch history: the Turmoil 3.0 rebuild (October 2021), the Multiplayer mode (December 2022), and the Deeper Underground DLC (September 12, 2024). All three DLC items listed on the store — the Original Soundtrack (October 2016), The Heat Is On (March 2018), and Deeper Underground (September 2024) — are released with no unreleased items remaining. On June 5, 2026, Gamious posted a 10th anniversary message celebrating the game's decade on Steam. Notably, while warm and appreciative in tone, the post did not announce any new content or upcoming DLC — it focused on gratitude and the team's continued enjoyment of playing the game themselves. The most recent substantive update was a feature patch on May 27, 2025 introducing Daily Challenges, but this was a gameplay mode expansion rather than a new major content release. The gap since the last major content release (Deeper Underground, September 12, 2024) and the tone of the anniversary post — which looked back rather than forward — together suggest the game has reached the end of its planned content cycle. The developer noted that Deeper Underground itself was unplanned ("Creating a new DLC was not something we planned on"), implying future DLC is not on the roadmap. With all DLC released, no announced future content, and an anniversary post that served as a retrospective rather than a teaser, the game appears to be content-complete as of the Deeper Underground release date.
