UNDERDOGS launched on January 25, 2024 and has received a steady stream of major content since then: the Sandboxxer game mode (August 29, 2024), the Buzzsaw weapon update (October 24, 2024), the RAMPAGE mode (March 13, 2025), the BALLTAG multiplayer mini-game (December 12, 2025), and the full Multiplayer Episode 01 "Open Cage" (July 28, 2026). The developer has framed the multiplayer rollout as episodic, explicitly stating at Episode 01's launch that it was "just the beginning" with plans to keep developing and expanding the game as they unfold the story. Most decisively, the September 16, 2026 patch notes — posted today — include a bold announcement directly from the studio: "ALL THE STUDIO IS WORKING ON EP 02! IT WILL REVEAL THE NEXT PIECE OF THE STORY, AND ADD GAMEPLAY, MECHANICS, PHYSICS, AND A LOT MORE DYING." This is a clear, unambiguous commitment to the next major content release.
