Blade and Sorcery

Blade & Sorcery officially launched out of Early Access on June 17, 2024 with version 1.0, dubbed "The End Update," after five years of Early Access development. Since launch, WarpFrog has been actively delivering a planned series of four free content updates collectively called the "Byeth Updates," which canonize extended lore from the game's universe by adding new weapons, armour, maps, and story content. Two of the four Byeth Updates have shipped: The Rakta Update (Update 1.0/1.1, October 7, 2025) and The Sentara Update (Update 1.2, February 24, 2026). On May 26, 2026, WarpFrog announced the third update — U1.3 "The Khar-Tib Update" — describing a new desert landmass and lore-themed content. This confirms the third of four planned free updates is now in active development. A fourth update in the series is still expected. In July 2025, WarpFrog also disclosed they are developing a new game (not Blade & Sorcery 2) using an improved engine framework, but this is alongside — not instead of — continued support for Blade & Sorcery, as evidenced by the two major updates shipped since that announcement. The game remains in active content delivery with two more planned free updates still to come, the next of which was formally announced as recently as May 26, 2026.
