Evaluation

Unearthed: Trail of Ibn Battuta - Episode 1 - Gold Edition launched on January 3, 2014 as a polished, standalone release. The developer issued two patches in January 2014 addressing gameplay and bug issues, but no post-launch content was ever shipped for this episode. The game was designed as part of an episodic series, with Episode 2 originally planned. On July 27, 2016, the developer publicly stated that work on Episode 2 was still ongoing but would require a major overhaul including a switch to Unreal Engine 4. That same post introduced an entirely different game (Badiya) as the studio's next project. No further communications about Episode 2 — or about Unearthed in any form — have appeared since July 27, 2016, nearly a decade ago. The July 2016 post mentioned Episode 2 as still in progress, but that promise has never been fulfilled and the developer has been completely silent since. Given nearly ten years of silence with no updates, no Episode 2 release, no DLC, and no roadmap ever revisited, this game has effectively concluded its content lifecycle as a single episode. Episode 1 itself launched as a complete, self-contained product, and no additional content for it was ever delivered.
Evidence
Developer announced a new game (Badiya) as their next project. Noted that Episode 2 of Unearthed was still being worked on but would require a major engine overhaul. This is the last known communication from the developer — no further updates have followed since this date.
