Kena: Bridge of Spirits launched on Steam on September 27, 2022, having previously released on PlayStation in 2021. The Steam version shipped with the Anniversary Update (version 2.0), a substantial free content addition that included New Game+, Spirit Guide Trials, new outfits, Charmstones, and enhanced Photo Mode. Following launch, Ember Lab released several stability and bug-fix patches through October 28, 2022 (version 2.06), after which developer communications for this title went quiet. Both DLC items listed on the store — a Deluxe Pack and the Original Soundtrack — shipped on September 27, 2022, and no unreleased DLC exists. The developer's post-launch activity consisted entirely of maintenance patches with no additional content updates announced or delivered after October 2022. On February 26, 2026, Ember Lab announced a full sequel, Kena: Scars of Kosmora, set for release in 2026.
