Evaluation
Unscripted launched into Early Access on April 11, 2023, with Episode 1 playable immediately and five additional episodes of Season 1 promised at no extra cost. On November 20, 2023, the developer (Steve) posted a cancellation notice explaining that continuing development would be financially ruinous — not just for Unscripted, but for the studio's other title, College Kings. The post states clearly that "further work on the game has come to a halt." Only a handful of bug fix and feature patches were released between April and June 2023, and no new episode content was ever delivered beyond the initial Episode 1. The game is no longer purchasable on Steam, though it retains its Early Access designation. The developer has made no further communications since the November 20, 2023 cancellation post, and there is no indication that development has resumed.
