Evaluation
Untrusted launched on Steam on May 9, 2021 and has maintained a steady cadence of seasonal updates ever since. The developer has shipped eleven seasons over approximately five years, each bringing gameplay additions such as new classes, skills, balance changes, and seasonal events. Major content milestones include Season 2 (August 1, 2021), Season 3 (November 14, 2021), Season 4 (February 12, 2022), Season 5 (June 25, 2022), Season 6 (December 4, 2022), Season 7 (April 1, 2023), Season 8 (October 22, 2023), Season 9 (August 24, 2024), Season 10 (January 29, 2026), and Season 11 (July 13, 2026). The most recent developer communication was the Season 11 / Patch 1.210 post on July 13, 2026 — just six weeks before today's date — which also celebrated the game's participation in Valve's Social Deduction Fest. The developer also launched a related single-player prequel, "Untrusted: Hackers at Large," in January 2026, demonstrating continued investment in the Untrusted universe. No statement concluding development has been made. Given the well-established pattern of seasonal updates and very recent developer activity, the game is clearly receiving ongoing content.

About this game
Welcome to the dangerous world of Untrusted, where the stakes are high and the outcome is always uncertain: join the community of this online multiplayer (10 to 16 players) hacking/social deduction game!
As a member of the fictional NETSEC group, you'll engage in a pulse-pounding game of hacking and social deduction, using your skills and wits to outsmart the undercover AGENTs trying to stop you; as an AGENT, you'll have to blend amidst the hacking crew to stop their plans in a race against the clock.
With up to 16 players in the game, the competition is fierce as you navigate the web of cybercrime and use deception and deduction to gain the upper hand. With 27 playable classes and over 100 unique skills, the possibilities are endless as you strive to gain root access of the target node and claim victory for your faction. But be careful, one false move could mean instant game over.
The game ends when the NETSEC group successfully gains root access of the target node, when all AGENTs or NETSEC members have been eliminated, or if the NETSEC operation leader gives root access to an AGENT member. So, be prepared for the unexpected and join our community of players for an unforgettable experience.
Welcome to Untrusted, where every move counts!
