Valkyrie Saga

Valkyrie Saga is a solo-developed retro PSX-style platformer that launched on January 26, 2026. The developer has remained actively engaged since launch. A first content update shipped on February 3, 2026, adding multiple save slots and an expanded secrets system. The developer noted at the time: "this is the first content update, but it won't be the last." A larger "Longevity DLC" free update followed on May 6, 2026, bringing custom level support, a new dungeon inside the Wizard's Tower, a new area in Mettel, a new alternate ending, performance improvements, and a time trial minigame. Bug fix patches continued through early June 2026. The paid soundtrack DLC shipped on June 30, 2026. Most recently, on September 28, 2026, the developer added Godot modding support and pointed players to the community Discord and the existing custom maps system. This is the latest in a steady stream of post-launch activity spanning the full eight months since release. The developer has not announced that content development is complete or that no further updates are planned.
