Vector Thrust launched out of Early Access on July 2, 2015 after a roughly 11-month Early Access period. Following launch, the developer continued shipping meaningful updates: a major content patch in January 2016 (v1.1400, adding a new map and aircraft), and Steam Workshop integration along with two new aircraft in July 2016 (v1.500). A small bug-fix patch followed on August 11, 2016 (v1.502). That August 2016 bug fix is the last recorded developer communication of any kind — there have been no news posts, patches, or announcements since then, a gap stretching nearly a decade to today's date of June 28, 2026.
The post-launch update pattern consisted of three major content releases spread across roughly 13 months (July 2015 through August 2016), with intervals of approximately 6 months between them. The silence since August 11, 2016 far exceeds any reasonable continuation of that cadence. No unreleased DLC exists in the store listing, no future content was announced, and the developer has made no statements about ongoing plans. There are no outstanding commitments visible anywhere in the store or news record. The store description describes only content that is already in the game. The game shipped as a fully featured product and received a handful of post-launch content additions before development went quiet. All evidence points to development having concluded naturally after the final August 2016 patch.
