Veritex

Veritex is a multiplayer survival game that has been in Early Access since March 15, 2018 and has never reached a full 1.0 release. On November 7, 2018, the developer posted an official announcement stating that all game servers were being shut down and that development would cease, citing a lack of playerbase and financial unsustainability. A follow-up post on November 11, 2018 reiterated that the developer was not going to continue the project and was moving on to a new game. Despite these closure announcements, the developer continued to ship patches. A December 2018 update added automated resource gathering, and a January 2019 update added player-hosted servers and voice chat. Further updates followed in January, February, and March 2019, adding NPCs, a creative mode, bug fixes, and language packs. The last recorded developer communication of any kind was the March 7, 2019 patch. Since that date — more than seven years ago as of June 2026 — there has been complete silence from the developer. No updates, no posts, no roadmap, and no statement resuming or concluding development have appeared. The game remains available for purchase in Early Access on Steam, but the developer's own closure statement from November 2018, combined with the total absence of any communication since March 2019, strongly indicates this project has been abandoned without ever completing its Early Access phase. Players who purchase the game should be aware it appears to be a long-abandoned project.
