Vibrant Venture is a solo-developed 2D platformer that has been in Early Access since July 2020, with the developer (Pattrigue of Semag Games) consistently shipping major updates across the years. The most significant recent milestone was Beta 7, which launched on November 22, 2025. It delivered online multiplayer, the long-awaited World 3 boss fight, new upgrades, a visual overhaul of level 2-2, and extensive UI improvements. In that post, the developer was candid about the game's future: after roughly 7 years of development, and with a full-time job and family responsibilities now demanding more of their time, Beta 7 would likely be the final *major* beta update. However, they explicitly confirmed that a smaller Beta 8 is still planned as a transitional update before the 1.0 release. Development has continued actively since then. Beta Update 7.2.0 shipped on February 22, 2026 with Level Builder improvements and scoring rebalances. An April 1, 2026 post was a clearly tongue-in-cheek April Fools' joke. Beta Update 7.5.0 on May 21, 2026 added a Game Speed accessibility modifier, and the post explicitly noted that work on Beta 8 is ongoing. Beta Update 7.6.0 on June 28, 2026 redesigned the Pet Selector menu and added Steam Workshop browsing from within the game, again confirming that Beta 8 is in progress. Most recently, a bug fix patch (7.6.3) shipped on August 18, 2026, addressing a game-breaking issue in the prologue. The developer has been transparent about the slower pace of development but has not announced the conclusion of updates. Beta 8 and the eventual 1.0 launch remain explicitly planned.

About this game

When an intergalactic thief robs the arcane Power Crystals, it’s up to Cardinal, Azura, Banana and Pistachio to work together as one being to save the day!

As you run, jump, and slide your way through colorful levels, you’ll have to combine each character’s unique abilities to traverse the challenging terrain in your way! Clear wide pits by double jumping as Cardinal, then swap to Azura to dash across, or climb up a wall as Banana, then gracefully glide over the abyss as Pistachio.
