Viking Frontiers: Prologue is a free-to-play standalone prologue experience for the full game Viking Frontiers. It launched on February 19, 2025, following a playtest phase in late 2024. The prologue's explicit purpose was to let players experience the game's core mechanics ahead of the full release, and the developer consistently framed it as a stepping stone. On April 23, 2025, BLUM Entertainment announced that the full version of Viking Frontiers had launched on Steam (App ID 1304430), and explicitly thanked Prologue players for their feedback contributions. This prologue app received a handful of hotfixes after its launch in February/March 2025, but no further developer communications have been posted to this page since April 23, 2025. The prologue has served its stated purpose — previewing the full game — and the full game is now available. There are no unreleased DLC, no announced future content, and no sustained post-launch update pattern for this prologue product beyond maintenance patches. The prologue launched as a complete, free preview product and its development role concluded when the full game shipped.
