Viking Frontiers launched on April 23, 2025. Three weeks after release, on May 13, 2025, BLUM Entertainment posted an explicit developer statement saying the launch was "only the beginning of our journey" and that they are "fully committed to continuously improving and polishing" the game [NEWS-2]. They backed this up with action: multiple bug-fix hotfixes in May 2025, a major content update (version 1.1.0) on June 30, 2025 introducing a decoration system and new UI panels [NEWS-1], and a follow-up hotfix on July 17, 2025 [NEWS-3]. The previous evaluation also recorded a developer post on November 24, 2025 (a Steam Awards nomination post), making that the last confirmed developer communication. The current news data scanned covers 50 posts with one major content update post-launch — establishing that the developer has shipped substantial new content after the 1.0 release. No completion statement has been made, no specific future DLC has been announced, and the developer has not indicated development is winding down. The last known communication was November 24, 2025, which is within a reasonable window given the approximately 5-month gap between major updates observed so far (launch April 2025, major update June 2025).
