Virtual Cottage

Virtual Cottage is a free-to-play relaxation/productivity tool that launched on October 7, 2020 and has received a series of feature updates over the years. Both of its music DLCs have been released — the LØNÆR collaboration in October 2022 and the Dreeme collaboration in October 2023. The developers' focus has now fully shifted to Virtual Cottage 2, a separate successor title. On June 7, 2024, they announced Virtual Cottage 2 alongside a feature update to the original game (character customization and new ambient sounds), which appears to be the last meaningful content update to Virtual Cottage 1. A small bug fix followed on June 10, 2024, a minor seasonal decoration update was posted on December 9, 2024, and a tiny maintenance patch was released on January 16, 2025. Virtual Cottage 2 launched on March 27, 2026 — a separate product with its own Steam page. The developers' March 27, 2026 announcement states they have "so many more ideas and plans for Virtual Cottage 2," making clear that future creative energy is directed at the sequel, not this game. There are no announced updates, DLC, or roadmap items remaining for Virtual Cottage 1. All previously released DLC is shipped, and no new content has been announced for this title.
