Virtual Surfing

Virtual Surfing launched out of Early Access on September 15, 2021 as version 1.0. Since then, the developer shipped one major post-launch update: the Version 2.0 overhaul on January 5, 2025, which completely reworked physics, animations, and graphics. That represents a single major content event in the roughly 3.5 years since the 1.0 release — not a sustained, recurring cadence of updates. The developer's last communication of any kind was that January 5, 2025 post. As of today (June 26, 2026), that is over 17 months of silence. No future content has been announced, no unreleased DLC is listed on the store, and the developer has made no statements about ongoing or planned development. The store description describes a complete feature set without referencing upcoming additions. With no outstanding commitments, no active update cadence to suggest more is coming, and silence extending well beyond any reasonable expectation of follow-up, the game appears to be a complete, finished product as of the Version 2.0 release on January 5, 2025.
