病毒恶化 VirusCrisis has been in Early Access since April 29, 2019. The store description explicitly describes the game as unfinished: of the planned 50 characters, only 30 have completed scripts, and voiceovers have been installed for only about 27 of those. The developer, a two-person team, has communicated throughout Early Access via patch notes and updates — but the last recorded developer communication was on September 4, 2023, which was a maintenance patch (v1.12) fixing bugs and upgrading the project. As of June 26, 2026, no posts, updates, or announcements have appeared in nearly three years. The game remains purchasable on Steam and still carries its Early Access designation. With declared content goals clearly unfulfilled (20 characters still lacking scripts, multiple characters lacking voiceovers) and no developer communication since September 2023, it is uncertain whether development is continuing. A 2020 post noted that the pandemic had seriously slowed the team, but no later statement has clarified the current state of development.
