VR Regatta launched out of Early Access on January 30, 2018. Following launch, MarineVerse released two paid DLC packs: Lake in Japan on December 11, 2018, and Arctic on May 2, 2019. These are the only two DLC entries in the store listing, and both are released. The developer's news history shows a clear winding-down pattern after the Arctic DLC shipped in May 2019. The most recent major content post (May 2021) was about the Lake in Japan DLC becoming free, not new content. The developer's own store description now redirects players interested in racing or learning to sail toward a separate, newer title — MarineVerse Cup — suggesting VR Regatta has been positioned as a completed, relaxation-focused experience. The last developer communication of any kind was in May 2021, and no new content, roadmap, or future plans have been communicated since. With both DLC packs released, no unreleased content listed, no outstanding developer commitments, and over five years of silence since the last post, the game's content is complete. The completion date corresponds to the release of the final DLC, Arctic, on May 2, 2019.
