Walk of Life launched out of Early Access on April 30, 2026, delivering a major 1.0 update that fulfilled everything promised on the Early Access roadmap. Since launch, the developer Porcelain Fortress has maintained a remarkably fast update cadence, shipping five major content updates in under five months: the Savescum Update (June 4, 2026) added the Hacker role, a new save/load system, and the Kaiju Battle global event; the Simultaneous Turns Update (June 24, 2026) introduced a new simultaneous play mode; the Drawing Heat Update (July 28, 2026) added the Artist role, a Heat Wave rework, a new Red Panda pet, and dozens of new choice events; and the Walk Together Update (September 9, 2026) added a major new Modifiers system, Solo and Co-op Challenges game mode, Online Quick Match, and an Overview Menu. The developer is actively planning more content. On August 18, 2026, they announced a "Final Role Vote" giving the community a choice between four new role candidates (including the Beastmaster), with the winning role guaranteed to be added to the game and other candidates potentially following. As of the September 9, 2026 update post, the role vote was described as beginning "next week," meaning it was still in progress or about to conclude — but the winning role has not yet shipped. The June 11, 2026 post-launch roadmap also committed to mod support, a new map, more pets, more global events, and more avatars, many of which remain undelivered.
