Evaluation
Wanderlust: Travel Stories launched on September 26, 2019 as a complete anthology of four long stories and five short ones. Shortly after launch, the developer shipped two feature patches — a Steamworks update on October 17, 2019 adding achievements and cloud saves, and a "New Beginnings" update on November 8, 2019 revamping the game's opening. A minor bug fix followed on March 20, 2020. The only expansion connected to this game, Wanderlust: Transsiberian, was released as a separate standalone title on April 9, 2020.
Since April 2020, the developer's news posts on this game's Steam page have shifted entirely to announcements about other Different Tales projects — notably Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Heart of the Forest (2020) and Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Purgatory (launched July 23, 2024) — along with third-party publishing announcements like Havendock. None of these posts indicate any new content planned for Wanderlust: Travel Stories itself.
The sole DLC listed on the store is the soundtrack, released February 11, 2020, with no unreleased DLC listed. The store description describes the game as containing four long stories and five short ones, with no mention of additional content in development. The developer has clearly moved on to other projects, and there has been no communication suggesting further content for this title since the Transsiberian standalone launched in April 2020. The game launched as a complete product and has received no major content additions beyond that standalone expansion.
