War Mongrels

War Mongrels launched on October 19, 2021 and received a significant post-launch support cycle. The developer shipped a major "Polished Edition" overhaul patch on September 19, 2022, fixing over 500 bugs and adding controller support. The game then expanded to consoles (PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One/Series) and Apple devices on April 25, 2023 — the most recent major content or platform milestone. A control improvements patch followed on August 22, 2023. Since then, Destructive Creations' focus has visibly shifted to their next title. On September 26, 2024, they announced that 63 Days — described explicitly as a "sequel to War Mongrels" — had launched, and the post was published on War Mongrels' own Steam page to cross-promote it. The studio's 10th anniversary post in June 2024 also highlighted new development and publishing projects. Most recently, on May 12, 2026, the developer announced a new game called Nailcrown, again posted through War Mongrels' news feed. There is no unreleased DLC, no announced future content for War Mongrels, and no developer statement suggesting further updates are planned. The only DLC — the soundtrack — shipped six days after launch in October 2021. The pattern of developer communications clearly shows the studio has moved on to new projects, with War Mongrels serving as a completed title in their portfolio. The last meaningful content milestone was the console/Apple release on April 25, 2023.
