Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines is a classic real-time tactics game originally released in 1998, brought to Steam on March 15, 2007. It launched as a complete, finished product with 20 missions, 6 commandos, and a full feature set — no post-launch content was ever planned or delivered.
The developer's post-launch Steam activity has been limited to compatibility maintenance: patches in October 2014 and February 2016 addressed bugs and Windows 10 compatibility issues, including a DirectX 5 fix to keep the aging game running on modern hardware. A news post in August 2015 flagged Windows 10 incompatibility before the fix was ready. None of these updates added new content — they were purely technical upkeep for a decades-old title.
Two announcement posts from June and August 2019 reference remastered versions of other Pyro Studios games (Commandos 2 HD Remaster and Praetorians HD Remaster), not this game. A February 2022 post was a sale promotion. No DLC has ever been listed for this game, and the developer has made no statements suggesting any future content is planned.
