Warring States: Tactics launched out of Early Access on January 29, 2018 after a long development period. The release post (NEWS-1) describes it as the final release, celebrating the completion of the journey and listing an extensive set of final polish changes. Prior to that, a December 2017 "Beta" update (NEWS-2) explicitly stated that the game had "all the content in we want for the game" and that what remained was "balances, fixes and polish." No DLC, expansions, or post-launch content of any kind has been announced or listed on the store. There have been no developer communications of any kind after the January 29, 2018 launch post. The store description presents a fixed, complete feature set with no mention of future additions. The game launched as a finished product with no post-launch content cycle established.

Warring States : Tactics is a turn-based battle strategy game set during the Warring States period of Ancient China.

The Warring States period is one of turmoil in China, where various feudal states struggle for control of all of China. Lead the forces of Qin through numerous historically-based missions as they challenge the other states for supremacy.

The story is told between missions as dialogue cut-scenes using beautifully drawn character portraits; as well as in game dialogue relevant to the battle at hand.

Also included is a fully composed soundtrack, which really helps bring the feeling of Ancient China to the game's atmosphere.
