Wartile launched in February 2018 and received a substantial free content update in September 2018 (Update 1.1, "True Viking Edition"), a paid story DLC called Hel's Nightmare in May 2020, and a free Tilt Five augmented reality integration DLC in January 2023. All three DLCs listed on the store are released, and the Hel's Nightmare post described that expansion as concluding "the Viking Saga."
Since January 2023, developer communications about Wartile specifically have been limited to sale announcements and cross-promotions. The studio's focus has clearly shifted to their next game, Successor — a spiritual follow-up set in the same universe. Posts from June 2024, April 2025, and June 2025 are all primarily about Successor's development and launch into Early Access, with Wartile mentioned only in the context of discounts and bundle deals. The developer has not announced any new content for Wartile, and the store bundle is explicitly marketed as the "Wartile Complete Edition" (including the base game, Hel's Nightmare DLC, and soundtrack), signaling the game is being positioned as a finished package.
With all DLC released, no unshipped content announced, the story described as concluded, and the developer's active work now directed entirely at Successor, Wartile appears to have reached the end of its content cycle as of the Tilt Five DLC release on January 31, 2023.
