Westland Survival is a live-service Wild West survival game that launched on Steam on September 24, 2025. The game is built around a continuous rotating content engine: seasonal "Tracks" (battle pass-style progression ladders with timed rewards), monetized currencies, VIP and Super VIP subscription tiers, and regular updates tied to real-world events and holidays. Since launch, the developer has maintained a relentless update cadence. Major content updates have shipped roughly every 4–6 weeks: a full Skill Tree overhaul and fishing feature in Update 11.0 (December 5, 2025), a Spring Fair with Easter content in Update 11.5 (March 19, 2026), new Threats and activities in Update 11.6 (April 29, 2026), an 8th Anniversary Celebration in Update 11.8 (June 5, 2026), and most recently the Frontier Legends update (Update 12.0) on July 26, 2026 — just 24 days before today's assessment date. Feature patches between major updates continue to refine systems like Canyon Trials, track progression, and bounty hunts. Update 12.0 introduced an entirely new recurring competitive system — Frontier Games — with weekly rotating activities, monetized Tickets and Boosters, and leaderboard prizes cycling on a four-week schedule. The anniversary update in June 2026 explicitly told players to "keep an eye on the news — the anniversary trail is not over yet," signaling more content on the way. The game also expanded to Mac on January 19, 2026, indicating ongoing platform investment. All three cosmetic DLC packs (Albino Alligator, Wind Spirit, and Uncle Gab's Signet) shipped on October 1, 2025, shortly after the Steam launch.
