Wheel Riders Online launched on December 27, 2017. In the weeks following launch, the developer posted about known bugs and shipped a corrective patch on February 28, 2018. That patch — and a handful of posts around release — represent the entirety of official developer communication. There have been no posts, patches, or announcements from Raum Studio since February 28, 2018, a silence of over eight years as of today. The store still lists an unreleased Soundtrack DLC with no release date, meaning the developer has an outstanding deliverable that has never shipped. Given that developer communication ceased entirely in early 2018 and this DLC has sat unlaunched for the entire intervening period with no explanation, there is real uncertainty about whether the studio is still actively working on the game at all. The game also carries very low user review scores (28% positive from 267 reviews), which may reflect the quality issues noted at launch that were only partially addressed before communication stopped.
