Whisper Mountain Outbreak launched into Early Access on August 11, 2025, and has been receiving consistent major updates ever since. The developer has shipped four named major updates: Early Access Update #1 (September 2, 2025), Early Access Update #2: The Rogue Update (October 27, 2025), Early Access Update #3: The Cursed Update (April 9, 2026), and Early Access Update #4: The Geared-Up Update (August 3, 2026). This demonstrates a sustained pattern of substantial new content releases roughly every 2–5 months. The developer also published a May 12, 2026 post explicitly listing a large slate of planned future content for Early Access, including a meta progression system, boss fights, new enemies, new maps and puzzles, new mission modes, new classes and skills, new weapons and items, new cosmetics, and new difficulty levels. They noted they deliberately avoid publishing a fixed roadmap to avoid setting expectations they can't yet confirm, but were clear that development is very much ongoing. The most recent communication came on August 3, 2026 with the Geared-Up Update launch, just 16 days before today's assessment date. The developer remains actively engaged with the community, running regular beta test sessions and maintaining close feedback loops. About this game

Whisper Mountain Outbreak is an isometric co-op PvE multiplayer survival horror game where you and your friends must work together to escape the cursed fog-covered Mt. Bisik.

Explore abandoned buildings, fight monsters, scavenge resources, craft items, solve puzzles, and figure out a way to escape the whispering madness.

STORY

It’s 1998; a mining operation on Mt. Bisik inadvertently unleashed an ancient horror when they disturbed a ruin buried deep inside the mountain.

People started hearing whispers and seeing monsters when a mysterious fog suddenly appeared and covered the area surrounding the mountain. Now, you and your friends are trapped in the cursed Mt. Bisik.
