Who's Next?

Who's Next? launched in Early Access on February 28, 2025 and officially released on February 6, 2026. HellAssociation has maintained a consistent, active update cadence throughout both phases of the game's life. During Early Access, the team published a formal Q2 2025 roadmap on April 8, 2025, outlining new souls, game modes, tools, and a mobile version. They delivered on these with regular updates throughout 2025, including new game modes, new characters, achievements, tool reworks, seasonal events, and a macOS platform launch on December 24, 2025. A developer letter on December 21, 2025 announced plans for the full release: new game modes, 100+ new skins, new cosmetic slots, cross-platform mobile play, and quality-of-life improvements — all delivered at or shortly after the February 6, 2026 launch. Post-launch updates have continued at a consistent pace. The February 13, 2026 update introduced the "Who Is the Gumiho?" game mode and a Korean New Year seasonal event. The most recent update, posted on September 23, 2026, was a major feature patch that completely overhauled the network architecture, reworked game rules (Vengeful Spirits, the Wandering Shop), redesigned the Clue Book UI, added new clue types, reworked several soul abilities, and introduced mobile joystick improvements — demonstrating that development remains substantial and ongoing. Across the 46 developer news posts scanned, HellAssociation has shown a sustained pattern of major content drops, feature patches, and seasonal events. The developer has not announced any conclusion to content development or indicated the game is a finished product with no further updates planned.
