Wild Romance originally launched on October 19, 2016 as a Japanese-style visual novel. On October 19–20, 2021 (the game's 5th anniversary), the developer released a fully remastered version 2.0 as a free upgrade, overhauling the engine, adding animated sprites, achievements, multilingual support, and more. Shortly after, a feature patch (v2.0.1) and a bug fix (v2.0.3) were issued to polish the remaster. The most recent update, v2.1.3 on November 23, 2022, added a "scene creator" feature allowing players to compose custom dialogue with the cast. The store description reflects the remastered v2.0 state of the game. No further updates have been posted since November 23, 2022, no unreleased DLC is listed, and no future content has been announced. The game appears to have settled into its completed remastered form, with the November 2022 update representing the final round of post-launch additions.

Kazuma gets embroiled in a summer of fun and adventure he can’t resist; this Japanese style visual novel follows the tale (pun intended) of Kazuma as he goes on mountain picnics, visits summer festivals, has run-ins with the gods and dips in a Japanese natural hot spring.
