Windlands

Windlands launched on Steam Early Access in January 2016 and left Early Access on April 5, 2016, at which point the developer described the game as "content complete." Post-launch, Psytec Games continued updating the game, adding new game modes, narration, and two new playground maps through mid-2016. A notable version 1.3 update on March 28, 2018 added new VR headset support and a re-recorded narration track — this is the last developer communication specifically about Windlands itself. The developer's attention subsequently shifted to sequels and new projects. Windlands 2 launched on November 15, 2018, and in April 2025 Psytec announced a brand-new title, Titan Isles, for wishlist on Steam. Neither of these announcements referenced any additional content plans for the original Windlands. The only DLC ever released for Windlands is the Original Soundtrack, which shipped on June 9, 2016. No unreleased DLC exists on the store. The developer has not communicated any plans for further updates or content additions to the original game since March 2018. Given the studio has since shipped a full sequel and is now developing a third distinct title, Windlands appears to have concluded its post-launch support cycle as a finished product.
