Withering Realms

Withering Realms entered Early Access on September 4, 2026, developed by solo developer Moonless Formless. The game is playable from start to credits in its current state, but development is actively ongoing with substantial content still planned before the full 1.0 release. On September 23, 2026, the developer published a comprehensive Early Access roadmap, confirming that the game has hit its sales goals and that a full release is targeted for Q2 2027. The roadmap details a plan to ship one major update per month, with smaller bug-fix patches in between. The first major update is specifically scheduled for October 14, 2026, and will include new NPCs, expanded training content, new talismans, additional Creation Rituals, and more. Beyond the October update, the roadmap outlines further planned additions: expanded story content and dialog, a post-credits epilogue sequence, an additional game section involving both main characters, mod support for community translations and customization, official support for additional languages (to be announced), and console ports (platforms to be announced). The developer also notes there will be a few surprises along the way. Since launch, the developer has been very active, shipping patches on September 4, 7, 9, and 15, 2026 — an extremely high cadence of updates addressing bugs, balance, and new features. The developer draws on their experience shipping the predecessor game Withering Rooms through Early Access and states they intend to use community feedback to substantially improve the game before full release.
