Withering Rooms

Withering Rooms launched out of Early Access on April 5, 2024, with version 1.22 adding new enemies, areas, outfits, and language support to mark the full release. During Early Access, the developer shipped a steady stream of major content updates — including large new areas like the Church of Burdens and Blackett House (June–July 2023), significant combat overhauls, and new game systems — before wrapping up development with the 1.0 launch. The only paid DLC is the soundtrack (released April 26, 2024), and no unreleased DLC or additional content for Withering Rooms has been announced. Post-launch updates through mid-2024 were limited to a demo, French/Spanish translations, and minor balance and bug fixes — maintenance-level activity consistent with a completed game. The clearest signal about where the developer's focus lies came on February 14, 2026, when Moonless Formless announced Withering Realms, a full sequel to Withering Rooms. The announcement makes no mention of additional content for Withering Rooms and describes the original game in the past tense as the foundation for the new project. This confirms that development on Withering Rooms itself has concluded, with the studio having moved on to its next title.
