Wolfenstein: The New Order launched on May 19, 2014 as a self-contained, single-player story-driven shooter. The game was designed and released as a complete, standalone experience with no post-launch content expansions or DLC packs — the only DLC ever listed is a standalone soundtrack release from February 11, 2020, which carries no gameplay content. The developer news section contains only generic PC support troubleshooting posts with no development activity of any kind. MachineGames went on to develop separate entries in the Wolfenstein series (such as The Old Blood and The New Colossus) rather than expanding this title with post-launch content. There are no announced updates, expansions, or future content of any kind for this game. It shipped as a finished product and remains exactly as it was at launch.
