Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World launched on June 28, 2021 as a complete remake of the classic Monster World IV. The game shipped as a finished product with no post-launch content roadmap. On March 16, 2022, the developers released the only DLC — an "Extra Contents" pack containing an art book, a character fan book, and a sound box with arranged music and MIDI data. This is supplementary bonus material for fans rather than gameplay content, and no further DLC or updates have been announced since. The developer's last substantive communication was a bug fix notice on December 27, 2021. With all DLC released, no outstanding content commitments, and no post-launch pattern of gameplay updates, the game is content-complete.

The adventures of Asha and Pepelogoo begin!
Asha, the warrior protagonist of the game, is involved in a serious incident that will affect the survival of her world. Our green-haired heroine doesn’t have to save the world all alone, and sets off on an adventure with her cute flying friend, the blue Pepelogoo. Asha and the Pepelogoo have to work together to become the heroes the world needs them to be. The road ahead is long - but will they be able to save their world?
