Woodlands launched on Steam on May 30, 2017. The store description explicitly states the game is "in early access" and promises continuous feature additions toward a final release — however, the Steam Early Access flag is not currently set, meaning the game is listed as a standard released product despite this language. The developer shipped one small patch (Update 0.2) on April 17, 2019 — nearly two years after launch — adding a start menu and a partial save system. That update acknowledged the long wait and promised to "show our community that we wish to further the progress of Woodlands through new content and updates, rather than empty announcements and words." However, no further updates or developer communications of any kind have appeared since that date. The game's store page still describes it as an unfinished product heading toward a full release, and the promised features (a complete save system, expanded maps, additional content) were never delivered. The developer has been completely silent since April 17, 2019, with no posts, patches, or announcements explaining the stoppage. The game appears to have been quietly abandoned in an incomplete state, with the developer's own stated goals for it unfulfilled.
