Woodle Tree Adventures originally launched on March 2, 2016 as a complete 6-world platformer. The developer has posted occasional updates over the years, including a new underwater world added in a 2014 patch and a new exclusive level promised in June 2023.
More recently, on August 3, 2025, the developer announced that a new update with "improved graphics and bug fixes" was coming "next month" (September 2025), along with a Nintendo Switch 2 enhanced edition. A September 18, 2025 post reiterated that "new updates for Woodle Tree 3 are coming," though this may refer to the sequel rather than this original game.
However, as of today (June 28, 2026), no post has confirmed the promised September 2025 update actually shipped. The developer has not communicated anything specifically about Woodle Tree Adventures since September 2025 — more than nine months of silence following a concrete update announcement. It's unclear whether the promised update was released or quietly shelved. The developer appears to have shifted significant attention to their new game, Mai: Child of Ages, which launched in September 2025.

The feeling of traveling around the game world is refreshingly peaceful. Woodle Tree is a great game to play if you want to relax, and the soundtrack and art style help giving a serene tone. Even if you’re not a fan of the genre, this game is still very much worth considering, even if only to witness the beautiful game world.
If you loved games like Banjo Kazooie and Mario 64, never fear, Woodle Tree will take you back to the good old days!
The whole gameplay is an hybrid between an art game and a platformer and is meant to be played by adults and children and to bring happiness to all souls.
