Words for Evil launched on December 11, 2014 as a complete fantasy RPG word game. The developer shipped two post-launch updates in quick succession: a Christmas Update on December 22, 2014 that added two new heroes (Santa Claus and Enchanted Snowman) and a colorblind mode, followed by the Pope Update on January 11, 2015 that added another hero (Pope Vocabulary IX) along with dictionary additions and bug fixes. After January 11, 2015, no further developer communications, patches, or content releases appear in the record. The store description makes no mention of planned future content, upcoming DLC, roadmaps, or live service features. There are no unreleased DLC entries. With no updates of any kind since January 11, 2015, the game has clearly been complete for over a decade.
