World of Goo is the original 2008 puzzle game by 2D BOY. It launched on October 13, 2008 as a complete, self-contained experience with no post-launch content cycle. The only DLC ever released for it is the soundtrack (April 6, 2020), which is a music pack rather than game content.
The developer news since early 2025 has been entirely focused on the sequel, World of Goo 2, which launched on April 25, 2025 as a separate game. A November 2025 post added new language translations (Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Ukrainian) to the original game — a welcome maintenance update, but not new gameplay content.
There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced future content for this game, no roadmap, and no developer statements suggesting additional content is planned for the original World of Goo. The game shipped as a finished product in 2008 and remains complete today. The developers' energy is invested in the sequel.
