World's Dawn

World's Dawn launched on January 25, 2016 as a complete game — the developer explicitly described it as "the complete version of World's Dawn" on launch day. In the weeks following launch, the developer shipped two feature patches (February 4 and March 13, 2016) addressing bugs and making quality-of-life improvements such as doubled farmland and a new in-game notebook. The March 2016 patch noted that content expansions (additional marriage candidates, children, etc.) were being considered but tied future investment to the game's commercial success, with no firm commitments made. By May 2017, the developer shifted focus to a new game, A Story Beside, which was announced as a spiritual successor to World's Dawn. All subsequent developer communications from 2019 onward relate exclusively to A Story Beside's development — including its Early Access launch in September 2019, chapter delays due to the developer's health challenges, and ultimately its full release on May 24, 2022. No additional content was ever announced or shipped for World's Dawn itself after the early 2016 patches. The game launched as a finished product and has remained so. The developer's attention moved on to their next project, and the last World's Dawn-specific communication was in March 2016. The store description makes no mention of planned updates or ongoing content. World's Dawn is a complete, self-contained experience.
