Evaluation
XP Soccer launched on November 11, 2022 as a complete, self-contained retro soccer game featuring 56 national teams, 8 tournaments, and multiple play modes. Following launch, the developer (a solo dev) shipped a series of feature patches and bug fixes through January 2023 — the last update on record was v1.13.0 on January 30, 2023. These updates improved difficulty, gameplay mechanics, animations, and controls, but did not add new game modes, teams, or major content expansions. The developer's January 2023 post expressed hope for "more updates this 2023," but no further posts have appeared since January 30, 2023 — now over three years ago. There are no announced or unreleased DLC items, no roadmap, and no post-launch major content drops. The game shipped as a finished product and the post-launch activity consisted entirely of polish and quality-of-life improvements. With all patches shipped, no outstanding commitments, and no developer communication since January 30, 2023, the game is complete.

XP Soccer is a love letter to the classic soccer games from the NES era!
We wanted to use pixel-art in a way that is faithful to the 90's console limitations, only breaking those rules sparsely to enhance the player's experience and customization.
Simple and tight controls will give you a variety of moves with a combination of the classic A and B buttons!
